Nursing: discharge letter
Discharge case notes, a model letter to a district nurse and marking notes.
OpenOET publishes free official sample tests for all 12 professions, in both the paper and computer formats. This page links to every one of them and adds free practice from OET with Dr Hesham: model letters for five letter types, speaking role-play cards with model answers, a score calculator and a placement test. Use them under real exam timing, then get feedback on Writing and Speaking.
OET publishes official sample tests for each profession on oet.com. Choose the format you will sit: OET on Paper, or OET on Computer (also used for OET@Home). Listening and Reading are the same for every profession; Writing and Speaking match your profession, so pick your own one.

Three parts: Part A note completion from two consultations, Part B short workplace extracts and Part C longer presentations or interviews. Each recording is played once.
Part A is a strict 15-minute scanning task across four short texts; Parts B and C share the remaining 45 minutes. OET says Grade B typically needs at least 30 out of 42 in Listening or Reading, but the boundary varies slightly by test version.
One letter from profession-specific case notes, with a body of about 180–200 words. There is no automatic penalty for going slightly over or under.
Two role-plays. You get 3 minutes to prepare each card and about 5 minutes to complete it, with the interlocutor playing the patient, a relative or a carer.
